Evangelical Missiological Society to Meet at CIU

Columbia International University alumni and professors will be making presentations at the The Evangelical Missiological Society’s 2014 Southeast Regional Conference being held on the CIU campus on March 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

The conference is open to professors, students and mission practitioners. The theme will be “Missions and Diaspora.” One of the plenary session speakers is CIU alumnus Leiton Chinn, an international student ministry organizer with the Lausanne Movement. He’ll speak on “Reaching the International Student Diaspora in North America.”

Other CIU alumni making presentations include Ken Katayama, the president of Crossover Communications International, and recent CIU seminary graduate Jessie Udall.

CIU professors making presentations include Dr. Jerry Rankin, the director of the Zwemer Center for Muslim Studies at CIU, Zwemer Assistant Director Trevor Castor, Dr. Mike Naylor, Dr. David Cashin, and Dr. Ed Smither.
